Concept

The winner scores

Only a winning hand scores. The table identifies every valid fan pattern in that hand, adds them according to the rules, applies the minimum and cap, and then converts fan to points.

The ruleset assumed in this course uses a 3-fan minimum and a 10-fan cap. Limit hands count as 10 fan.
